Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Compliance:

• Manage the daily operations of Finance, Accounting and Tax, ensuring full compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations.
• Maintain consolidated financial management and ensure seamless reporting alignment between the local entity and the global headquarters.
• Support strategic tax planning including managing direct/indirect taxes and adhering to cross-border transfer pricing guidelines.

P&L & Budgeting:

• Manage comprehensive budgeting, forecasting and Profit & Loss (P&L) tracking specifically tailored to a high-growth environment.
• Implement rigorous cost accounting initiatives, monitoring Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), supply chain expenses and inventory valuations.
• Track Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operating Expenditure (OPEX) rigorously during the transition and setup of the new Seremban facility.

Reporting, Audits & Governance:

• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights.
• Ensure timely, accurate and efficient month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Coordinate all internal and external audit cycles, managing relationships with external auditors and addressing compliance or control findings.

Treasury & Liquidity Management:

• Monitor working capital and manage daily liquidity to support the capital-intensive setup of the new facility.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting, treasury operations and managing foreign exchange (Forex) risks to protect the company's financial positions.

Financial Infrastructure & Internal Controls:

• Assist in the design and implementation of robust internal accounting control systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and risk management frameworks.
• Support the setup and integration of the financial infrastructure, including managing the financial modules of ERP system implementations for the new facility.
• Build, mentor, and guide a high-performing finance team capable of supporting the entity's long-term growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above (Majors in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics are preferred).
• Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant, progressive experience in finance and accounting, including proven success in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Hands-on manager capable of navigating complex financial landscapes and supporting growth through data-backed decisions.
• Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing finance/accounting departments in start-ups, SMEs, or newly formed entities.
• Background working in top-tier accounting firms or investment companies.
• Korean language proficiency is a strong advantage to facilitate seamless communication with our global counterparts.
• Working hours is 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) / 09:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Work location will initially based in Kuala Lumpur, with a planned transition to our new facility in Seremban.
