Part-Time Finance Manager

Location: City of London – office-based

Working pattern: 2–3 days per week

Salary: £45,000–£55,000 pro rata

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of an independent, internationally focused creative agency looking for an experienced Part-Time Finance Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day finance function.

This is a hands-on, varied role working closely with senior management and external accountants, overseeing the full range of financial operations and helping to maintain robust financial processes and controls.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day accounts using Xero
• Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, invoicing and credit control
• Managing client reconciliations, statements and financial settlements
• Monitoring cash flow, bank balances and multi-currency accounts
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting tax compliance
• Managing expenses and company credit cards
• Supporting year-end accounts and liaising with external accountants
• Improving financial systems, processes and controls

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience managing a broad finance function within a small or medium-sized business
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including VAT and multi-currency transactions
• Excellent Xero and advanced Excel skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive, personable approach with excellent communication skills
