This is a rare opportunity to step into a hands-on, high-impact Finance manager role with a fast-growing, Employee owned (EOT) business. You’ll work closely with the MD, leading finance operations, strengthening controls and developing value for all employees.

Role Purpose

As Finance Manager, you will lead the finance operations across the company, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in high volume transactions, debt collection and statutory compliance will directly influence business performance. You will act as a trusted partner to the leadership team, driving process improvements, embedding best-in-class finance practices, and enabling the business to scale effectively while maintaining integrity and transparency across all financial reporting.

Key Accountabilities

• Own and deliver a robust financial control environment across all companies, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance
• Ensure all entities meet statutory reporting, filing, and audit requirements, maintaining bank and EOT board confidence
• Maintain audit-ready records and provide insight to strategic decision-making, and value creation

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Prepare the monthly management accounts and annual financial accounts, ensuring timely and accurate results
• Prepare weekly and monthly rolling cashflows
• Prepare monthly invoice discounting reconciliation
• Prepare quarterly vat returns
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and other key stakeholders
• Drive ERP and reporting system optimisation to improve efficiency, control, and data quality across the finance function
• Support the MD on strategic projects

Qualifications

• ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
• Experience of managing a finance team
• Experience of invoice discounting
• Experience in forecasting and budgeting
• Experience in high volume transaction environment

Hours, location and pay

This is an onsite role based in Cheadle Hulme, working 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. Salary to be confirmed
