About the Opportunity

This is a key hands-on leadership opportunity for an adaptable Finance Manager to drive end-to-end financial operations and commercial finance frameworks across the platform. Moving away from traditional purely statutory focus, this position engages operational execution, business performance, and scalability.

In addition to managing month-end, general ledger integrity, and working capital, this business offers genuine scope to get under the hood of commercial decision-making. You will actively partner with leadership on budgeting, dynamic cash forecasting, unit economics analysis, and FP&A modeling—giving you rare, end-to-end operational reach in a scaling tech environment.

What You'll Do

• Managing end-to-end month-end closing, management accounts preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal reporting frameworks.
• Overseeing daily cash position management, dynamic 13-week liquidity forecasting, working capital optimisation, and merchant settlement flows.
• Assisting the annual budgeting process, periodic rolling forecasts, and variance analysis to provide clear commercial insights for leadership.
• Analysing platform unit economics, gross margins, and transaction volumes to support strategic pricing and operational decisions.
• Evaluating, refining, and automating finance processes, internal controls, and technology integrations across cloud platforms and reporting tools.
• Leading core tax compliance, BAS/IAS lodgments, audit preparation, and corporate governance across operating entities.
• Partnering with cross-functional team leads to track performance metrics, manage departmental budgets, and identify cost efficiencies.

What You'll Bring

We are looking for a pragmatic, energetic Finance Manager who enjoys working close to the business, solving operational challenges, and building scalable financial foundations.

• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field, with CA/CPA qualification.
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or broad operational accounting role, ideally within high-growth tech, fintech, or fast-paced modern service environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with a shift away from purely heavy compliance toward agile management reporting, cash forecasting, and operational finance.
• Demonstrated capability in standardising financial processes, enhancing systems efficiency, and working with cloud accounting systems and BI tools.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a hands-on approach and the ability to effectively engage with operational and senior leadership stakeholders.
