About Helium

After chasing brokers, navigating fake listings, and locking up lakhs in deposits, most renters

settle because the system leaves them no real choice. Helium is rebuilding rentals in India

from the ground up with a discovery platform of exclusive, gated homes that are actually

available and require just a one-month deposit. Under the hood, we run two fintech

products: a rent guarantee for homeowners and a credit-led deposit solution for tenants.

We are backed by founders and operators from Blinkit, CRED, Zomato, and Stanza Living.

Role Overview

We are looking for a sharp, high-ownership Finance Manager to join our team in Bangalore.

You will work directly with the founder on finance strategy, planning, and fundraising, while

owning the systems that keep money moving accurately across Helium.

From building budgets and unit economics models to preparing investor reports and

fundraising decks, you will help shape the decisions that drive how Helium grows. This role is

perfect for someone who loves numbers, enjoys turning manual work into automated flows,

and wants to build a finance function from the ground up at a fast-growing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Finance Strategy: Work directly with the founder on finance strategy, capital allocation, and key business decisions.
• Budgeting & Planning: Prepare budgets for upcoming quarters and monitor actuals against budgets, flagging variances and their drivers.
• Unit Economics: Build and maintain unit economics and financial models across our rental and fintech products.
• Investor Reporting: Prepare and share regular investor updates and MIS reports on business and financial performance.
• Fundraising: Work on fundraising decks, financial projections, and data rooms, and support the founder through investor conversations.
• Payouts & Collections: Own monthly rental payouts to homeowners, ensuring payment files are accurate and released only after the necessary approvals, and drive follow-ups on pending payments.
• Statutory Compliance: Work with our CA consultant on statutory filings (GST, TDS and other compliances) and keep records audit-ready.
• Process Automation & Systems: Break finance workflows into simple processes, automate manual work, and build systems that scale with Helium.

Requirements

• BBA, BCom, or MBA (Finance preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, strategy, investment banking, or a finance role at a startup.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, with hands-on experience in financial modelling, budgeting, and MIS.
• Strong grasp of unit economics and the ability to turn numbers into clear business insights.
• Comfort building crisp decks and reports for founders and investors.
• Ability to break complex processes into simpler, repeatable flows.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills across teams.
• A builder’s mindset: curious, proactive, and keen to automate manual work.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment.
