Finance Manager

Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, accounting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and internal controls. The role ensures the accuracy of financial records, compliance with applicable Philippine tax and regulatory requirements, and the effective use of company resources to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning and Budgeting

• Develop and manage the company's annual budget, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decisions.

2. Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Oversee daily accounting transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Review financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documents for accuracy.

3. Cash Flow and Treasury Management

• Monitor cash position, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
• Manage cash disbursements, collections, bank transactions, and payment schedules.
• Ensure sufficient funds are available for operational expenses and business commitments.

4. Tax and Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable BIR regulations, tax filing deadlines, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.

5. Internal Controls and Risk Management

• Establish and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Monitor financial risks, prevent unauthorized transactions, and ensure proper approval processes.
• Review expenses, financial transactions, and potential cost-saving opportunities.

6. Management and Business Support

• Prepare financial reports and present key financial findings to management.
• Evaluate business performance, profitability, and operational costs.
• Collaborate with HR, Sales, Warehouse, and Operations to align budgets and financial objectives.
• Supervise and develop the Finance and Accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA); non-CPA candidates with strong relevant experience may also be considered, depending on company requirements.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or financial management, preferably with supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with Philippine taxation, BIR compliance, and applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with different departments in a fast-paced business environment.
