Finance Manager

We’re hiring a Finance Manager at Oscar Hunt.

Oscar Hunt is a growing Australian made to measure menswear brand with seven showrooms across the country, and we’ve just launched eCommerce. It’s a big period of growth for us, and we’re looking for someone to own the numbers behind it.

The Role

Based at our Collingwood Head Office, you’ll be responsible for the entire finance function across the Oscar Hunt group. You’ll work very closely with our General Manager and be across the key, strategic decisions that shape where the business goes next. It’s a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both getting the detail right and using the numbers to drive better decisions.

What you’ll be doing

• Monthly consolidated reporting across our group entities, including the balance sheet and clear commentary on anything tracking off budget
• Running month-end and year-end close, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing payables, receivables and payroll, and leading our bookkeeper
• Keeping on top of compliance: BAS/IAS, PAYG, super, payroll tax, WorkCover and audit
• Owning the cash flow forecast and our banking relationships
• Tracking opex by showroom and helping each team understand and improve its performance
• Building store models, new concept models and the reporting behind our incentives and budgets

What we’re looking for

• A qualified accountant (CA or CPA)
• Solid experience running a finance function end to end, ideally across multiple entities
• Confidence in Xero and multi-entity consolidation
• Someone who’s commercial, not just compliant, and enjoys being close to the decision-making
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain the numbers to people who don’t live in them
• A person who takes pride in getting things right and on time, every time
