Finance Manager

We’re looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to join AMFRESH at our Alconbury site on a 6-month fixed-term contract , taking ownership of month-end delivery, management accounting and financial controls.

You’ll lead the month-end process , including journals, stock and goods received not invoiced (GRNI) valuations, and key reconciliations. You’ll also prepare monthly management accounts, analyse variances against budget and forecast, investigate balance sheet discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting within tight deadlines.

Working closely with Finance, Operations and Commercial teams, you’ll contribute to financial reporting, senior leadership presentations and board packs , while identifying opportunities to improve month-end processes, data quality and reporting through tools such as Excel and Power BI .

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with strong experience in month-end management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls . Experience in FMCG or manufacturing , particularly stock accounting and valuations, is essential. You’ll also bring strong Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with large, complex datasets. Experience with ERP systems and Power BI would be advantageous, alongside a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
