What they need

At Myerscough, our values drive us: we are passionate about education, collaborative in our approach, professional in everything we do, and committed to Fredie (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement).

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Finance Manager to lead our Finance function and support the advancement of our finance strategy.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance & HR, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the delivery of efficient, accurate and compliant financial services, while working closely with senior leaders and budget holders to support effective decision-making and value for money across the College.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of the Finance function, ensuring high standards of service, accuracy and compliance.
  • Managing and developing a customer-focused Finance team, promoting accountability, collaboration and high performance.
  • Overseeing the production of management accounts, budgets, forecasts, statutory financial statements and regulatory returns.
  • Leading the annual budget-setting process and supporting the development of medium and long-term financial plans.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professionally qualified accountant with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality financial management. You will combine technical expertise with a collaborative and business-focused approach, helping to shape strategic priorities while ensuring the delivery of an outstanding finance service.

By joining Myerscough, you will become part of a supportive and ambitious organisation that values professionalism, innovation and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, develop a high-performing team and make a significant contribution to the future success of the College.

If you are an experienced financial leader with the vision and expertise to drive excellence, support sustainable growth and deliver exceptional financial stewardship, we encourage you to apply for the role of Finance Manager.

This role offers hybrid working, with flexibility to work both on campus and remotely, subject to business needs and service requirements.

The proposed interview date is Wednesday 18 November.

  • A generous holiday allowance of 33 days, pro rata plus bank holidays.
  • Regular Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
