Finance Manager

Job Overview

The Finance Manager leads financial planning, reporting, and day-to-day financial operations. You’ll turn accurate accounting data into clear insights that support sound decisions, strong controls, and strategic planning. This role may suit candidates with experience across corporate, nonprofit, governmental, or financial services environments.

Duties

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial projection model development, and cash flow analysis; assess profit and loss, cost management, and investment needs.
• Oversee corporate accounting, general ledger accounting and reconciliation, accrual accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and interpret financial reports, manage regulatory reporting, and maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Accounting Standards (IAS), Accounting Standards Codification Topic 606 (ASC 606), and relevant regulations.
• Apply risk analysis, risk management, treasury and investment management, revenue management, cost accounting, and cost control to strengthen financial operations.
• Lead the finance team, improve accounting systems and financial software use, and apply data analytics tools and Excel data analysis to support business development and strategic management.

Qualifications

• Accounting and finance experience, with knowledge of financial accounting, corporate finance, financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial concepts.
• Demonstrated financial acumen, leadership, and finance team management; finance directorship or public accounting experience is an asset.
• Technical proficiency in financial model development, account analysis, financial report writing, and financial software.
• Industry knowledge of financial regulations; familiarity with corporate, nonprofit, or governmental accounting is preferred.
• Strong financial markets knowledge, strategic planning skills, and the ability to communicate financial findings clearly.

Pay: $26.70 - $35.30 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 per week
