Finance Manager (Contract)

Finance Manager (Contract) Cambridge | 9-month FTC | Start ASAP | £60,000 - £70,000 We are recruiting a Finance Manager for a growing technology business in Cambridge. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day finance function and management of a team of three.

Key responsibilities:

• Full ownership of the monthly management accounts
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Manage, support and develop a small finance team of three
• Balance sheet reconciliations and review
• Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
• Provide financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholders
• Maintain strong financial controls and improve processes where appropriate
• Support wider finance projects and ad hoc requirements during the contract
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant VAT requirements

About you:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Proven experience producing and taking full ownership of management accounts
• Previous experience managing a small finance team
• Strong understanding of AP, AR and the wider transactional finance cycle
• Confident working in a hands-on Finance Manager role
• Able to join at pace and quickly take ownership
• Technology or a similar fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous
