Finance Manager / Financial Controller

About the role

Lead and oversee the overall Finance and Accounting functions of the company, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company policies. Act as a strategic business partner and advisor to Management by providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall Finance and Accounting functions of the company, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company policies
• Act as a strategic business partner and advisor to Management by providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making
• Support business expansion, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic corporate initiatives when required
• Develop and implement strategic financial management plans, annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts to support business growth
• Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing recommendations for corrective actions
• Conduct financial analysis, profitability analysis, investment appraisal, and project feasibility studies for new business initiatives and capital expenditures
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial transactions and accounting records
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports with timely submission
• Monitor manufacturing costs, product costing, inventory valuation, cost variances, and production efficiency to improve profitability
• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking facilities, and treasury functions to maintain healthy financial performance

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MICPA, or equivalent)
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant working experience in Finance and Accounting, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or Financial Controller position within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of full set of accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and treasury functions
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting, product costing, inventory control, standard costing, and cost variance analysis
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, corporate governance, financial risk management, and statutory compliance
• Experience in project feasibility studies, financial modelling, investment analysis, and CAPEX evaluation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
• Excellent leadership, people management, and business partnering capabilities
• Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong financial modelling capabilities
