What they need
About the Business
The company is a fast-growing, globally integrated FinTech and digital asset infrastructure platform. Operating at the forefront of cross-border payment processing, FX liquidity, and global banking solutions, they empower high-volume digital financial services across global jurisdictions.
They are seeking a dynamic, full-function Finance Manager in Melbourne to oversee regional operations and integrate cross-border entity finances.
About the Role
As Finance Manager, you will hold end-to-end accountability for finance operations across multiple international entities. This is a strategic yet deeply operational role where you will manage the full financial lifecycle—from high-volume transaction reconciliations to group reporting, tax compliance, and business partnering.
You will serve as a key bridge between Melbourne operations and overseas headquarters, driving financial control, scalability, and treasury support.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Finance Operations: Oversee weekly/monthly closing processes, high-volume reconciliations, payroll, and daily operational finance.
- Consolidation & Group Reporting: Deliver timely, accurate multi-entity financial consolidations and management reports for regional and global leadership.
- Tax & Governance: Oversee multi-jurisdictional tax compliance, statutory reporting, and finance policy execution.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Work closely with cross-functional operational teams to optimize financial workflows and commercial decision-making.
- Treasury & Liquidity Management: Partner with global treasury teams on liquidity tracking, cash management, and future hedging/FX strategies.
Requirements
- Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Fully qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA, or recognized equivalent).
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in full-function accounting or financial management, ideally overseeing multi-entity operations.
- Industry Background:
- Ideal: Cards, Payments, FX/Liquidity, Exchanges, or Banking/FinTech.
- High-Value Alternative: Fast-paced, high-volume transaction industries (e.g., E-commerce, Tech).
- Core Competencies: Proven ability to manage full-scope finance ops, with deep expertise in at least 2–3 core areas (e.g., consolidation, tax, or reconciliations) and the agility to master the rest.
- Languages: Bilingual fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is essential for seamless daily cross-border stakeholder engagement.
- Work Rights: Must hold valid local Australian working rights (No visa or relocation support).
