Finance Manager - Makati

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the company's financial operations in the Philippines. The successful candidate will lead the accounting team, ensure compliance with Philippine tax laws and financial regulations, strengthen internal controls, and manage financial reporting, audits, and banking relationships. This role requires strong financial management expertise, knowledge of Philippine accounting and tax regulations, and the ability to work effectively with regional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations, ensuring revenue recognition, bad debt provisions, and other accounting practices comply with IFRS and Philippine accounting regulations
• Develop and implement payment, reimbursement, and expense management processes to improve cost control and operational efficiency
• Ensure accurate calculation and timely filing of Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value-Added Tax (VAT), Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT), and other applicable taxes
• Coordinate with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and maintain compliance with Philippine tax requirements
• Evaluate tax implications across daily business operations and provide guidance on tax-related matters
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial statements and required reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
• Establish and improve financial internal control systems to safeguard company funds and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Lead annual statutory audits and coordinate with external auditors on financial audits and group internal audit requirements
• Evaluate the accounting and tax implications of new products and business initiatives, including account setup and accounting procedures
• Develop local financing channels and maintain strong working relationships with Philippine banks and licensed financial institutions
• Supervise and develop a team of five subordinates, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations

Job Requiremrents:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or ACCA qualification is an advantage
• At least 5 years of financial management experience, including a minimum of 3 years managing finance operations in Southeast Asian markets
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial compliance requirements
• Experience handling BIR tax filings, SEC financial reporting, and external audits is highly preferred
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and expense management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment
• Mandarin or Chinese language proficiency is an advantage
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with regional or international teams
