Zion Landscapes Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Finance Manager to join our team on a part-time basis.

This is a hands-on accounts role, working closely with the Managing Director and taking responsibility for the day-to-day financial administration of the business. The role is up to a maximum of three days per week, with the working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for keeping our financial records accurate, organised and up to date, using Xero, as well as supporting the management team with financial information and administration.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Preparing quotations and raising customer invoices using Xero

· Managing the sales and purchase ledgers

· Processing and allocating customer receipts and supplier invoices

· Monitoring outstanding customer accounts and issuing payment reminders

· Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies

· Allocating income and expenditure to projects and business sectors

· Preparing supplier payment runs for approval by the Managing Director

· Assisting with bank reconciliations and month-end procedures

· Maintaining accurate customer, supplier and financial records

· Providing financial information to management and our external accountants

· Dealing professionally with customer and supplier account queries

· Identifying opportunities to improve financial and administrative processes

· Supporting the management team in maintaining our ISO 9001 certification, including ensuring relevant records and documentation are kept up to date

About You

We are looking for someone who is accurate, organised and methodical, with previous experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration.

You will have:

· Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role

· Good working knowledge of Xero

· A sound understanding of sales and purchase ledgers

· Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability

· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

· The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

· A professional, reliable and confidential approach

Experience of project or job costing, or working within a landscaping, construction or service-based business, would be advantageous.

Experience of ISO 9001 or quality management systems would also be beneficial, although this is not essential.
