Finance Manager (Professional Accounting Qualification Required)

A global professional services firm is seeking a Finance Manager to manage the full spectrum of finance operations while partnering closely with business leaders to drive financial performance and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and year-end financial closing, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, intercompany transactions, and cash flow management.
• Monitor revenue, billing, WIP, financial performance and resolve billing issues based on client needs.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to management and regional stakeholders.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Review profitability, budgets, forecasts, and revenue pipelines.
• Support project accounting, revenue recognition, and business planning activities.
• Monitor project performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and cost management.
• Prepare annual financial statements and manage external audits.
• Oversee corporate tax, GST, withholding tax, and statutory filings.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Act as the key finance user for ERP and financial systems.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, controls, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within a professional services, consulting, agency, or project-based environment.
• Prior supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, treasury, and financial controls.
• Hands-on individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and manage day-to-day finance operations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in client billing, revenue management, and collections.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Workday is an advantage.
• Well-organised, analytical, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
