Finance Officer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a high quality creative agency headquartered in New York and with APAC offices in Sydney and Singapore. They are looking for someone who will fit into a fun and dynamic organisation, wants to work closely with the business and enjoys a mix of autonomous and team playing environment. The role is hybrid with Mon and Fri work from home and Tues-Thurs from a great office.

About the role

This is a hands-on, Vendor management, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable role providing support to Finance in the Operations of our Sydney and Singapore offices. You will work closely with the Controller to own the Full AP/AR cycle from setup to General Ledger Reconciliations. In this role, you will also be an integral part of the Global Resource team and responsible for APAC vendor onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Vendor setup in Operating and Finance systems
• Purchase Order and Invoice matching in Operating system for Job-related costs
• Invoice processing for Overhead expenses
• Ensure supplier invoices processed are GST compliant in accordance with ATO/IRAS requirements
• Attend to Vendor queries and manage AP APAC inbox
• Weekly AP review on Aging report and payment run
• Process domestic and foreign ACH/Wire payments, creating bank templates, and manage the AP aging file
• Supplier statement reconciliations and monitor the close out of PO by Jobs
• Maintain accurate filing of softcopy record of Invoices and payment remittances in Dropbox
• Customer setup in Operating and Finance systems and ensure all Sales invoices processed are GST compliant in accordance with ATO/IRAS requirements

About you

• Accounting qualification or equivalent
• At least 5 years general accounting experience
• Familiar working with accounting software
• Proficiency in excel / MS office
• Experience with Procim or Netsuite would be advantageous but not essential
• Strong repartee with suppliers - vendors and freelancers
• Strong communication skills with both internal INVNT teams and external vendors
• Ability to work across multiple departments and department heads and prioritize workflow from multiple people at the same time
• Ability to work independently and be a proactive problem solver
