The successful candidate will work across payroll, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting and financial administration.

  • Enter and reconcile income and expenses using Xero.
  • Prepare and issue invoices and follow up outstanding accounts.
  • Manage debtors and overdue invoice collections professionally.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Complete end-of-month reconciliations.
  • Manage statutory obligations including superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover and Portable Long Service Leave.
  • Assist with BAS, IAS, PAYG and ASIC compliance requirements.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for senior leadership.
  • Respond to payroll and invoice queries and ensure timely resolution.
  • Support external accountants and auditors with audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable financial records.
  • Support relevant NDIS financial and record-keeping requirements.
  • Manage NDIA-related claim file downloads and uploads through PRODA.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and funding submissions.
  • Monitor financial KPIs, cash flow, funding and expenditure.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes and workflows.
  • Contribute to process automation and improved reporting.
  • Provide finance-related guidance and support to internal teams.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial projects and other finance and administrative duties as required.

About You

Our client is looking for a capable finance professional who combines strong technical skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.

You will ideally have:

  • Formal qualifications in Accounting, Bookkeeping or a related field, such as a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Diploma of Accounting.
  • Proven experience using Xero, particularly across payroll, invoicing, BAS and reconciliations.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and supporting audits.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and financial administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High computer literacy and confidence using financial and administrative systems.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to effectively manage finance inboxes and competing priorities.
  • The ability to work effectively within a small and diverse team.
  • A high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.

Desirable Experience

Experience within the NDIS, disability, community services or not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.

Familiarity with PRODA, NDIA processes and NDIS financial requirements will also be advantageous.

Compliance Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to hold or obtain:
