Finance Officer

About the Role

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our Finance team. This role will primarily support the team in managing project financing, bridging loan drawdowns, HDA withdrawals, cash flow monitoring and banking-related matters.

Fresh graduates with a background in Accounting, Finance, Banking or Business are welcome to apply. Training and guidance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of bridging loan drawdown applications.
• Prepare and compile supporting documents required by banks for loan drawdowns.
• Follow up with banks, solicitors, consultants and internal departments on financing-related matters.
• Assist in monitoring loan facilities, drawdown status, outstanding conditions and repayment schedules.
• Coordinate and monitor HDA withdrawals, including preparation of supporting documents and follow-up with relevant parties.
• Monitor project cash flow, including expected collections, payments and funding requirements.
• Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and funding projections for ongoing projects.
• Track project collections and payment commitments to ensure sufficient funding is available.
• Maintain proper records of banking facilities, drawdowns, repayments and financing documents.
• Assist in preparing daily / weekly cash flow updates and finance reports.
• Liaise with the Accounts team to ensure relevant transactions and funding movements are properly recorded.
• Assist in monitoring outstanding finance matters and ensure timely follow-up.
• Support the Head of Finance/ Senior Executive in banking, financing and project finance matters.
• Perform other finance-related duties and ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration or related disciplines.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with different parties.
• Proactive, organised and willing to learn.
• Candidates with internship or working experience in banking, finance, accounting, property development or construction will have an added advantage.

You do not need to have prior experience in project financing. What matters is that you are comfortable working with numbers, able to follow up on matters, pay attention to documentation and are willing to understand how financing and cash flow support the overall project.
