Finance Officer

About the role

Working Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm, you will be responsible for a range of finance and administration functions across the business. This role would suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys working independently and is confident managing a broad range of day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions.

Key responsibilities

• Day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Processing invoices and payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit card and expense reconciliations
• Payroll processing and related administration
• BAS and GST preparation support
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Xero reporting and financial data management
• Assisting with month-end processes and financial reporting

About you

• Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Bookkeeper or similar accounting role
• Solid understanding of general accounting and bookkeeping principles
• Strong Xero experience across multiple functions
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
• Good understanding of GST and BAS requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Good communication skills
