Finance Officer

We at PYC Foods Corporation are seeking an organized, reliable, and hands-on Finance Officer to manage key daily financial operations and ensure accuracy across our financial records, cash management, and compliance. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will oversee accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, tax compliance, and store collection workflows across our retail locations and restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Cash & Treasury Operations: Monitor daily cash inflows/outflows, perform daily bank reconciliations, track store receipts/POS settlements, and oversee petty cash management.
• Accounts Payable (AP): Process supplier invoices, verify matching purchase orders and receiving reports, maintain vendor ledgers, and schedule timely disbursement runs.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Monitor corporate accounts, issue official receipts/invoices, track receivables, and conduct collection follow-ups for wholesale and corporate clients.
• Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and file monthly/quarterly tax returns (VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax, Income Tax) and ensure full compliance with BIR, SEC, and local government unit (LGU) requirements.
• Month-End Closing: Assist in preparing trial balances, maintaining general ledger entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting internal/external audit requirements.
• Store & Operational Support: Coordinate with restaurant unit managers and retail supervisors to verify daily sales drops, inventory accounting entries, and petty cash replenishments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Financial Management (CPA is an advantage, but not required).
• Experience: 2–4 years of experience as a Finance Officer, Accounting Associate, or General Accountant.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic financial modeling/analysis.
• Practical experience with accounting software and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero).
• Strong working knowledge of Philippine tax laws (BIR guidelines), statutory returns, and general accounting standards (PFRS).
