Finance Officer/Assistant Accountant

Key duties:

• Processing Creditor Payments and Expenses
• Processing Debtor Invoicing and Receipting
• Monthly intercompany charges and recoveries
• Expense monitoring
• Analyse and respond to queries (internal and external)
• Reconciliation of bank accounts
• End of month processing
• Monthly Reconciliation

Project accounting duties including:

• Preparing progress reports
• Preparing progress claims
• Analyse variations to original budget
• Track costs spend to date and cost to complete
• Draw down funds from finance facilities to pay for projects
• Liaise with project manager (internal and external) and provide assistance

What we are looking for:

• A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
• A minimum of two years Xero Accounting package experience
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Highly organized
• A problem solver
• A proven ability to adapt and learn quickly
• Exceptional attention to detail

This is a permanent full-time position with working hours between 9am – 5.30pm, based in the CBD.
