• Oversee regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with industry standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and relevant governmental accounting regulations.
• Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and professional development.
• Implement fraud prevention and detection strategies to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis using Excel data analysis techniques like pivot tables to identify trends, anomalies, or areas for cost savings.
• Maintain strong internal communication channels across departments to streamline business operations and enhance customer service delivery.
• Ensure adherence to banking regulatory compliance standards and industry knowledge of financial regulations governing investment management and securities law.
• Utilize financial software and SQL databases for data management, reporting, and audit preparation.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements.

Experience

• Proven experience in accounting and finance roles within the financial services or investment management industry.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, governmental accounting, and industry-specific financial regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams within a fast-paced environment focused on business operations or financial functions.
• Strong background in fixed income markets, trade settlement processes, cash management, and financial analysis tools such as spreadsheets with advanced Excel skills including pivot tables.
• Familiarity with financial software systems, SQL databases, and technical accounting principles related to corporate accounting and regulatory reporting.
• Experience working in public accounting or with governmental agencies is highly desirable.
• Excellent internal communication skills combined with customer service orientation to effectively liaise with internal teams, clients, auditors, and regulators.
• Ability to analyze complex financial concepts quickly while maintaining high accuracy under tight deadlines.

Pay: $105,372.79 - $110,911.31 per year
