You enjoy balancing the bigger picture with attention to detail. From financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to compliance, audit, and process improvement, you take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes that support organisational success.

As a collaborative leader, you build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation. People describe you as analytical, proactive, organised, and solutions-focused. You communicate confidently with managers, senior leaders, auditors, and governance groups, helping others understand financial performance and make informed decisions.

  • Overseeing compliance, statutory reporting, and funding-related financial requirements
  • Providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making
  • Preparing financial reporting for the Board and Finance & Audit Committee
  • Monitoring organisational performance, funding utilisation, and financial sustainability
  • Driving continuous improvement of finance systems, controls, and reporting processes
  • Providing technical accounting leadership and supporting the development of finance team members

Is this you?

  • Chartered Accountant status (CA ANZ or equivalent)
  • Tertiary degree in accounting, finance or a relevant discipline
  • At least seven years' experience in accounting and finance
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Experience leading month-end and year-end processes, audits, and compliance activities
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Experience providing technical guidance and quality oversight within a finance team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial audiences
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines

What we offer
ELPNZ is a friendly and inclusive workplace with a culture of continuous improvement. It is a place where your own potential will be nurtured as you work alongside a passionate and talented group of educators and leaders committed to helping former refugees and migrants learn English and effectively settle in New Zealand.
