Job Description

The Finance Business Partner is a finance manager responsible for providing financial leadership and business partnering support to two of Amgen Japan's commercial business units. This role reports to the Senior Finance Partner and helps drive business performance, investment decisions, and long-term value creation.

The position combines financial expertise, strong commercial acumen, and advanced analytical capabilities to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. The role is responsible for delivering short- and long-range forecasting, business case development, performance management, and financial planning activities while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.

In addition, the role will have responsibilities for advancing capabilities through adoption of innovative technologies, automation, and analytics.

Basic Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

·       Experience in finance, business partnering, FP&A, or commercial finance.

·       Fluent Japanese and English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience within the healthcare or life sciences industry is preferred.

·       Strong understanding of commercial operations, portfolio management, forecasting, and market dynamics.

·       Financial modeling, forecasting, and business case development capabilities.

·       Experience leveraging data analytics, visualization tools, automation technologies, and AI-enabled solutions.

·       Professional finance qualification (CPA, CMA, ACA, ACCA, MBA, or equivalent).

·       Experience supporting commercial leaders in cross-functional organizations.
