Finance Reconciliation Officer

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Reconciliation Officer to support our Finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records through daily transaction reviews, account reconciliations, discrepancy investigations, and reporting. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of financial information and supporting effective financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations
• Reconcile cash, bank, POS, and payment transactions
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare reconciliation reports and supporting schedules
• Review transaction data for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain reconciliation records and audit documentation
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Escalate unresolved variances and recommend corrective actions
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reconciliation processes

About you

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in reconciliations, accounting, finance, or banking
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and data analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Bank reconciliation experience
• POS reconciliation experience
• Retail, wholesale, or multi-location business experience
• ERP systems experience
