Finance SME – Refining (Downstream)

Summary: This role aims to integrate finance expertise into refining operations, ensuring that financial models, product hierarchies, and profitability metrics align with refinery practices and costings.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead or support refining workshops to capture the current finance, reporting, and KPI landscape.
• Define refining-specific requirements including refinery/asset dimensions and product slates.
• Advise on refining margin measurements such as gross refining margin and Replacement Cost (RC) margin.
• Validate GCOA, product hierarchy, and segmentation outputs from a refining perspective.
• Identify refining reporting gaps and provide inputs for the roadmap.

Key Requirements:

• Senior finance or controlling role in a refinery or integrated downstream company.
• Strong knowledge of hydrocarbon accounting and product costing.
• Experience with turnaround/maintenance capex and asset-level performance reporting.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with refinery planning/hydrocarbon accounting tools and SAP S/4HANA for Oil & Gas.
• GCC refining experience.

Other Details: This position is aimed at a senior manager or director equivalent, requiring 15+ years of experience in finance, including 8+ years in refining. Focus areas include Finance Data Model and Reporting & Segmentation Design.
