Finance Specialist

📢 Finance Specialist | Renewable Energy | Cape Town

Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract

We’re partnering with a global independent power producer to appoint an experienced Finance Specialist to join their growing renewable energy business in South Africa.

This is a broad finance role offering exposure across renewable energy assets at different stages of the project lifecycle, from development and construction through to operations .

Key responsibilities include:

• Budgeting, forecasting, cost control and long-term planning
• Financial reporting and annual financial statements
• Cash flow, treasury and debt management
• Tax compliance, including CIT, VAT and WHT
• Managing finance activities across multiple SPVs
• Coordinating internal and external audits
• Lender reporting and compliance with finance agreements
• Supporting equity/debt financing and project stakeholder management

We’re looking for:

✅ CA(SA) or similar qualification

✅ Minimum 6 years’ post-qualification experience

✅ Previous REIPPPP experience , ideally spanning bidding, financial close, construction and operations

✅ Strong understanding of the South African renewable energy environment

✅ Microsoft Business Central experience would be advantageous
