About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on finance and tax professional to join our India operations in Chennai. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Regional Head and Group Finance. You will own local accounting, tax compliance and reporting, and act as the key point of contact with local authorities and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements for local India operations.
2. Stay current with India tax regulations (GST, corporate income tax, etc.), ensure full tax compliance, and handle tax filings and tax planning.
3. Liaise with local tax authorities, auditors and external service providers to resolve tax matters in a timely manner.
4. Prepare regular financial and tax analysis reports for Group Finance and the Regional Head to support decision-making.
5. Support the continuous improvement of local financial processes and internal controls, aligned with Group Finance arrangements.

Qualifications

• Based in Chennai; legally authorized to work in India (local hire).
• Solid hands-on knowledge of India tax regulations (GST, income tax) and strong accounting experience; able to work independently in an individual contributor role.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
• Logistics / supply chain industry experience is preferred; candidates with strong local tax expertise from other industries, or Big 4 tax & audit backgrounds, are also welcome.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
