Finance Staff

About the role

Contemporain Foods Inc. is seeking a Finance Staff to join our accounting team in Pasay City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of our organisation. As Finance Staff, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and contributing to the preparation of financial reports that drive business decision-making.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and processing financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policies
• Reconciling bank statements, ledger accounts and financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial documentation and filing systems
• Processing invoices, purchase orders and expense reports in a timely manner
• Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assisting with payroll processing and related financial tasks
• Identifying and reporting discrepancies or irregularities in financial records
• Supporting internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• A qualification in accounting, finance or a related field (diploma, degree or equivalent professional qualification)
• Proven experience working in a financial accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably within a food or manufacturing industry
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles, balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors
• Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
• Reliable communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues across departments
• Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Knowledge of local taxation requirements and regulations in the Philippines
