Finance Supervisor

About the role

Finance Supervisor role responsible for overseeing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, reviewing vendor invoices and balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting audit processes. The role involves leading and mentoring a team, implementing process improvements, and collaborating across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Review day-to-day vendor invoice review performed by the GL Specialist to ensure they are coded to the appropriate GL account and department and that the cost classification and accounting treatment are accurate
• Review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for GL accounts, such as Cash, Prepaids, Inventory, Other Assets and Other Liabilities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to PFRS
• Review and approve manual journal entries submitted by the GL Specialist
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, FP&A, and other departments
• Lead, mentor, develop and conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance
• Coordinate workload distribution to meet deadlines
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• CPA certification is an advantage
