Finance Supervisor

About the role

The Finance Supervisor supports the CFO and/or Finance Manager in coordinating the company's budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, financial analysis, cost control, and management reporting activities. The position supervises assigned Finance personnel, checks the accuracy and completeness of financial information, monitors compliance with approved procedures and deadlines, and escalates material variances, risks, and funding concerns to management for review and decision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and consolidating annual budgets, forecasts, and budget submissions from branches and departments
• Track actual expenses against approved budgets and prepare budget-versus-actual schedules
• Identify and explain significant variances and refer matters requiring management action to the CFO/Finance Manager
• Prepare and update cash-flow schedules and summaries based on available financial information
• Monitor upcoming payment obligations and coordinate funding requirements with the responsible Finance/Treasury personnel
• Flag potential cash shortages, delayed collections, or unusual cash requirements promptly to the CFO/Finance Manager
• Compile and review periodic financial reports, schedules, and management summaries for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Check budget availability and supporting documentation for expense requests within assigned authority
• Review expense reports and identify unusual, excessive, incomplete, or unsupported expenditures for clarification or escalation
• Assign, coordinate, and monitor the work of assigned Finance staff and ensure deliverables meet agreed deadlines

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Accounting, Business Administration, or a related course
• At least 3–5 years of relevant Finance or Accounting experience
• Prior team-lead or supervisory experience is an advantage
• Working knowledge of budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, financial analysis, cost control, and management reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with financial reporting tools or accounting systems
• Experience in a multi-branch company, LPG, distribution, manufacturing, retail, or a related industry is an advantage
