Beal Homes are a private, family owned housebuilder operating across East Yorkshire & Northern Lincolnshire. Operating from a £5M purpose built office in Hessle, the company is primed for growth and is looking to add to an already established Finance Team.

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to work directly alongside the Finance Director with excellent opportunities for career growth. All training will be provided, so previous experience not essential but must demonstrate strong academic grades and/or background to suit the role.

Main Responsibilities:

• Cost reporting and review, working alongside the Technical Department to identify overruns and potential savings;
• Management reporting, including analysis work;
• Cost recharging and liaising with Sub-contractors / suppliers;
• Preparing ONS and other Government reports ready for submission;
• Working to assist the Purchase Ledger team, building an understanding of the function;
• Utilising the company’s Sage 200 accounting system and Therefore software to generate periodic reporting and control;
• Assisting with the preparation of the Company’s weekly site payroll; and
• Other general ad hoc duties as required.

Personal Requirements

• Strong academic grades / background;
• Works well within a team;
• Good attitude and a willingness to learn.

Previous Construction or accounts / payroll knowledge is a plus but not necessarily essential – the most important requirement for us is someone who demonstrates personality, a good attitude and work ethic.

Hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
