Financial Accountant

We’re looking for a capable and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract based at our Kenmore Head Office. This is a hands-on role suited to an accountant who enjoys variety, thrives on problem-solving and is confident working independently.

Your new opportunity:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be involved in a broad range of financial accounting activities, including:

• Month-end accounting, journals and reconciliations
• Financial reporting and variance analysis
• General ledger maintenance and integrity
• Audit and compliance activities
• Stakeholder engagement and financial support
• Process improvement initiatives

What you will bring to our team:

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with excellent communication and problem-solving ability.

You’ll bring:

• Degree qualifications in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CA qualification (or close to completion)
• Approximately 3-5 years’ accounting experience
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, journals and reconciliations
• Experience in month end processes
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and SUMIFs
• Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Power BI and Power Query will be highly regarded

Eligibility requirements:

• You must have eligibility to work full-time hours in Australia for the duration of this contract
• Hold a current National Police Check or willingness to acquire if requested
