Financial Accountant

We’re seeking a Financial Accountant to join a collaborative and high quality finance team supporting operations across North America and Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with 2–4 years’ experience who wants to broaden their skills across financial control, revenue, accounts receivable, treasury and month-end reporting.

You’ll work closely with experienced Senior Financial Accountants and Financial Controllers while partnering with teams across Commercial, Operations, Client Success, Treasury, FP&A and Technology.

What you’ll be doing

This is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure across a broad range of finance activities. You will:

• Support month-end and year-end close, including journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules

• Assist with revenue calculations, reconciliations and reporting

• Act as a key finance contact for customer and operational finance queries

• Assist with cash flow reporting, cash movement validation and treasury activities

• Support accounts receivable processes including invoicing, credit notes, allocations and collections

• Monitor aged debt and work with customers and internal teams to resolve billing queries

• Prepare audit support and maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation

• Maintain finance process documentation and operating procedures

• Contribute to system enhancements, finance transformation and continuous process improvement

What you’ll bring

You’ll ideally have 2–4 years’ experience in financial accounting or audit together with a solid understanding of journals, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes.

You’ll also bring strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded, as will exposure to revenue accounting, accounts receivable or financial control.

Just as importantly, you’ll be proactive, organised and comfortable working with stakeholders across the business. A strong customer service mindset and willingness to solve problems and improve processes will help you succeed.

A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline is expected, with candidates who have commenced or intend to commence CA or CPA studies particularly encouraged to apply.
