Financial Accountant

About the Role

• We’re hiring a Financial Accountant to join our team in Budapest, Hungary. This role will support daily accounting operations, financial closing, payment processing, tax compliance, and coordination with Headquarters and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting entries and payment-related activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and intercompany balance confirmations.
• Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions and follow up on discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Manage daily payment activities, including payment requests, payment processing, and transaction status monitoring.
• Support VAT, CIT, WHT, and other tax compliance activities.
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, and supporting data required by the Headquarters Accounting Department.
• Coordinate with Headquarters on accounting, tax, funding, payment, and other finance-related matters.
• Work with external service providers and vendors, including the timely submission of accounting and tax documentation.
• Support audits, tax filings, statutory reporting, and other compliance-related activities.
• Conduct preliminary analysis and follow-up on financial and tax-related matters and support issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Professional working proficiency in both English and Chinese is required.
• Solid accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP.
• Experience in financial closing, payment processing, tax compliance, or intercompany accounting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a responsible working style.
• Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
