Financial Accountant

The Company
We are partnering with a well established not for profit organisation seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 3 month contract, with the potential for extension.

This is a varied, hands on role suited to an accountant who is happy to roll up their sleeves and assist across the full finance function. Alongside financial accounting and month end responsibilities, you will also support accounts payable and accounts receivable to help keep day to day finance operations running smoothly.

About the Role:

This 3–month contract with the possibility to extend will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Financial Accountant, who will report directly to the Finance Manager

Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Assist with month end reporting and financial accounting processes
• Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments
• Complete balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation
• Process and support accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Manage invoice processing, payments and customer receipts as required
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve account queries
• Maintain accurate financial records and support general ledger integrity
• Assist with ad hoc finance tasks across the team

About You:

• Previous experience in a Financial Accountant role
• CPA / CA qualified or studying to complete.
• Strong understanding of month end processes, journals and reconciliations
• Comfortable assisting with both accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Happy working across transactional accounting and reporting duties
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident using Excel and accounting systems
• Able to hit the ground running and manage competing priorities
• Available to commit to an initial 3 month contract
