Financial Advisor, CFP® Preferred
Correct Capital Wealth Management | Clayton, MO
About Correct Capital
Correct Capital Wealth Management is a dynamic, independent, fee-based Registered Investment Advisor in Clayton, Missouri, managing approximately $1 billion for individuals, families, and businesses across the country. We help clients with investing, retirement, tax, and estate planning, and our goal is to improve their lives through detailed financial planning relationships and give them clarity and peace of mind about their financial futures.
We work as a collaborative team, so every client benefits from the experience of the whole firm, not just one advisor. It’s an office where we celebrate each other’s wins and believe we go farther together than we do alone.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a CFP® professional with real front-line experience working with families who is ready for the next step in their career. You’ll join our advisor team, take ownership of small and mid-sized relationships, and partner with senior advisors on larger and more complex clients. Over time, this role is designed to grow into a Lead Advisor position.
You’ll have mentorship from seasoned advisors and access to cutting edge technology, so you can spend your time on clients, relationship building and becoming a better advisor. You’ll learn how to maintain and build your own business and stand out in a crowded market.
What You’ll Do
- Lead planning relationships for small and mid-sized clients, often independently, and collaborate with teammates on larger or more complex households.
- Build and present comprehensive financial plans covering retirement, tax, estate, risk management, and investments.
- Explain the firm's investment strategies to clients, tailor allocations to their goals, timelines, and risk tolerance, and bring together additional client assets through positive, client-centered discussions, working with the investment team on implementation.
- Lead participant eduction for our 401(k) plan clients, including group presentations and one-on-one meetings.
- Develop new relationships with individuals, families, and institutional clients through client referrals, centers of influence, and firm marketing. New business is rewarded through our Business Development incentive.
- Create presentations and client education campaigns as needed.
- Simplify complex financial concepts and build trust and credibility with every client.
- Document client meetings and planning details in Redtail and follow through on action items promptly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field
- 5+ years of client-facing experience in financial planning or wealth management
- Series 65, or Series 7 and 66
- Experience with Redtail, financial planning software (RightCapital, MoneyGuidePro, eMoney, etc) and Schwab, or Fidelity custodial platforms is a plus
Preferred
- CFP Designation, or actively pursuing credentials
Who Thrives Here
- A relationship builder who is genuinely curious about people and what drives their decisions
- A natural problem solver who pays attention to detail
- Comfortable managing your own schedule and working independently, while also contributing to a team
- A clear, confident communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Able to handle changing priorities and set clear expectations with clients and colleagues
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $100,000-$140,000, based on experience and tenure
- Business Development Incentive: 40% of first-year revenue from new clients you bring in, paid quarterly with opportunity for long-term revenue incentives with growth of business.
- Team Growth Pool: Participation in a pool funded by 30% of the firm's revenue growth from all sources, paid in June and December, allocated by each team member's relative contribution
- Retirement: 401(k) Profit-Sharing Plan with a match of up to 6% of compensation
- Insurance: Medical, disability, and life insurance, plus voluntary dental, vision and supplemental life
