Financial Analyst

About the Role

Looking to kickstart your career in finance? As a Finance Executive/Analyst, you will work closely with our CFO and play an important role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly. You will get hands-on experience managing our finance workflow, supporting external/internal audits, and improving processes - perfect for someone with an accounting background who’s detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and ready to take ownership.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Record premiums, commissions w/wo GST accurately and handle partial monthly processing of financial consultant's commission to be paid out in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform due diligence check and reconciliation to ensure that commissions and payments are accurate for preparation of business reports (e.g., GI receiving report).
• Perform invoice and payment verification checks.
• Liaise with the company’s external accounting firm on accounting matters.
• Assist timely with payroll processing and CPF administration in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Monitor overdue receivables and follow up with insurers to minimize outstanding balances.
• Handle expense claims and reimbursements, supplier payments and submission of payments via online banking for approval.
• Maintain and organise proper accounting documentation and ensure completeness/accuracy of records for audits and compliance.
• Prepare and coordinate documentation for corporate secretarial matters.
• Support annual statutory audits and internal audit requests by preparing supporting documents, confirmations and timely responses to audit queries.
• Support automation initiatives and help document SOPs and control checklists.
• Assist with implementation, testing and improvement of finance systems and processes.
• Review and analyse the current business processes to identify inefficiencies and strengthen internal controls.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives assigned by the CFO.

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field with at least 1 year of relevant finance or accounts experience (entry-level candidates are welcome to apply!).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in maintaining accurate records with integrity.
• Ability to work independently, manage tight deadlines, and adapt to change.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Team-oriented positive mindset with initiative, accountability, and a proactive approach to improving processes.
