Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst will support the day-to-day operations of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function ensuring that all deadlines are met with the highest degree of accuracy. They will also be exposed to general accounting projects and tasks. This is a full-time position on-site in our Chicago corporate office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the weekly labor shell analysis and labor productivity reporting including but not limited to:
  • Prepare weekly Labor Dashboards for all Restaurants
  • Weekly Labor Shell & Schedule Reconciliation
  • Covers per Labor Hour Reporting
• Assist with annual Budgeting process including but not limited to:
  • Creating Budget Templates
  • Upload each restaurant budget into NetSuite
  • Upload Corporate budget into NetSuite
  • Assist with analyzing quarterly financial results against the budgets
• Keep Sales and Covers tracker updated daily
• Assist with any other KPI related tracking
• Assist with ad hoc financial and operational analyses
• Consolidate Restaurant Financial Information for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
• Develop, streamline, and execute monthly COGS/Inventory variance analysis
• Assist Investor Relations by creating financial summaries and streamlining the investor distributions process
• Develop AI prompts to automate various projects such as Customer Review Analysis
• Assist with the development and maintenance of our data warehouse

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or related discipline. Highly proficient with excel / Google Sheets with ability to analyze, summarize and present data quickly. Familiarity with NetSuite and reporting module a plus.

Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment. Must possess sound communication skills in order to interact with vendors, management and co-workers. Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills. Should have a firm understanding of accounting-related software needed to perform the job.
