Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum
A global technology and manufacturing business is recruiting a Financial Analyst to join its European finance team. This is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for the end-to-end finance activities of a growing international entity, covering financial reporting, month-end close, balance sheet ownership, forecasting, controls and business partnering.
The role will act as the key finance contact for the entity, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while working closely with operational stakeholders across the business. It will suit a qualified accountant who is comfortable taking ownership, managing multiple priorities and combining strong technical accounting with forecasting, analysis and stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Owning the month-end close and financial reporting process for an international entity
- Managing the general ledger and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information
- Taking ownership of balance sheet accounts, reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items
- Preparing monthly management reporting, variance analysis and financial commentary
- Preparing budgets, forecasts and cash flow reporting
- Supporting revenue recognition and accounting for complex contracts
- Submitting financial information into the group consolidation and reporting systems
- Supporting statutory accounts preparation, external audit and tax requirements
- Maintaining and strengthening financial controls in line with group policy
- Supporting banking, payments, cash management and other operational finance activities
- Partnering with operational and finance stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making
- Managing multiple reporting deadlines and competing priorities across the month
- Supporting wider regional finance activity, process improvement and transformation initiatives where required
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, with strong end-to-end finance experience.
You will ideally have:
- Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience
- Good general ledger knowledge and a thorough understanding of end-to-end accounting processes
- Experience owning balance sheet accounts and reconciliations
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience
- Exposure to statutory reporting and external audit
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
- The ability to work independently, take ownership and manage multiple deliverables
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Experience within a complex, international or multi-entity environment would be advantageous. Exposure to SAP, Oracle HFM or other ERP / consolidation systems would also be useful, as would knowledge of IFRS 16 and IFRS 9.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking for a broad role combining financial reporting, control, forecasting and business partnering within an international organisation undergoing continued growth and change.
