Financial Assistant

Finance Assistant | Insurance | London

WPR is working with a Lloyd’s market business that is looking for a Finance Assistant to join its finance team in London.

This role suits someone with transactional finance experience who wants to build their career in insurance and take on more technical ledger work.

What you’ll be doing

• Processing payment runs and supplier invoices
• Daily bank reconciliations, including multi-currency accounts
• Preparing and posting journals, including accruals, prepayments and revaluations
• Reviewing and processing expense claims
• Supporting month-end close and audit requests
• Dealing with internal and external queries

What they’re looking for

• Experience in a finance or accounts assistant role, ideally within insurance or financial services
• Confidence with bank reconciliations and journal posting
• Good Excel skills; experience with [TBC – e.g. SUN / SAP] is a plus
• Qualified or Part qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
