Financial Comptroller

An established construction and real estate development and investment group is seeking an experienced Financial Comptroller to take responsibility for its accounting and financial reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Project costing, budget monitoring and profitability analysis
• Management of accounts payable, receivables and cash flow
• Preparation of bank reconciliations, payroll and statutory returns
• Monitoring of construction contracts, billings, retentions and subcontractor balances
• Preparation of budgets and cash-flow forecasts
• Liaison with auditors, tax advisers and financial institutions
• Maintenance of effective accounting controls and procedures
• Provision of financial information and analysis to support management decision-making

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification or advanced progress toward ACCA, CPA or equivalent and minimum of 3 years' relevant accounting experience; or BSc in Accounting with minimum of 5 years' relevant accounting experience
• Strong Excel and computerized accounting skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on, owner-managed environment
• Proactive, accountable and dependable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative team player with the ability to work harmoniously with others

Construction, contracting, property development or project-accounting experience would be an asset.
