Financial Controller, APAC

Role & Responsibility

• Regional Functional Ownership: Lead regional operations for accounts payable, vendor disbursements, and payroll management across Asia-Pacific markets.
• Operational Execution & SLAs: Oversee shared services operations to ensure timely, accurate processing of supplier invoices, employee expense reimbursements, and employee pay.
• Governance & Internal Controls: Enforce a robust internal control structure in full alignment with SOX standards, treasury guidelines, banking controls, and corporate authority limits.
• Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all disbursement and payroll activities comply with regional labor laws, statutory tax obligations, and statutory requirements.
• Process Transformation & Automation: Drive initiatives to standardize, digitize, and automate financial workflows, leveraging ERP enhancements to optimize efficiency.
• Treasury & Cash Management Alignment: Collaborate with Treasury and Finance partners to streamline payment cycles, support cash flow forecasting, and optimize working capital.
• Audit & Remediation Leadership: Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external audits, conducting root-cause analysis and addressing operational or control gaps.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with HR, Procurement, Tax, and local Finance leaders to ensure seamless operational support and alignment on business priorities.
• Performance Reporting & Metrics: Track operational health through key performance indicators, service-level metrics, and performance dashboards to guide continuous improvement.
• Team Leadership & Talent Development: Direct, mentor, and upskill shared services personnel across diverse locations, building strong capabilities and clear succession plans

Qualification

• Citizenship: Hold Thai citizenship.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Certifications: CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualifications required.

• Experience: * 8–12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
  • Deep understanding of P2P and payroll processes.
  • Working knowledge of payroll tax and statutory requirements across APAC markets.
  • Expertise in process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, automation)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skillsExcellent stakeholder management, executive presentation, and influencing skills.
  • High level of English proficiency (reading and writing).
  • Driven, self-starter mentality with flexibility to support operations across time zones.
