Financial Controller / Assistant Financial Controller

ABOUT THE JOB

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop financial management system, management reporting and analysis.
• Establish and manage accounting policies, internal controls and procedures.
• Oversee cost accounting functions, including job costing, cost allocation and margin analysis by shipment, branch and trade lane.
• Analyse operational and freight costs, identify cost-saving opportunities and support pricing decisions with profitability data.
• Lead the finance teams for month-end and year-end processes.
• Review and implement budgeting process and perform variance analysis.
• Monitor cashflow and liquidity.
• Liaison with professional parties, including external auditors, tax agents and lawyers.
• Establish and manage accounting policies, internal controls and procedures.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with at least 10 years of experience in both Big 4 CPA firms and multinational corporations, with at least 5 years in managerial positions.
• Experience in freight forwarding/logistics in high-value cargo/Jewellery will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin are required.
• Occasional travel will be required.
