Financial Controller

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. Duties

• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including ledger management, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Develop detailed financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making processes.
• Lead financial analysis efforts to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Oversee compliance with financial regulations, tax accounting standards, and internal policies to ensure regulatory adherence across all financial activities.
• Coordinate audits by external auditors, prepare audit documentation, and implement recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Support mergers & acquisitions by conducting due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning.
• Utilize financial software tools to streamline reporting processes and enhance data accuracy using spreadsheets and other digital platforms.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly to clients, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Manage relationships with external vendors such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead projects related to finance system upgrades or process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Skills

• Extensive experience in accounting and finance roles with a strong understanding of industry-specific regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and modeling.
• Demonstrated ability in developing comprehensive financial models for various business scenarios.
• Knowledge of financial software systems used for accounting, reporting, and compliance purposes.
• Strong analysis skills to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
• Experience in auditing processes and ensuring adherence to financial regulatory compliance standards.
• Familiarity with GAAP principles and tax accounting practices relevant to the industry.
• Project management skills to lead initiatives from conception through execution effectively.
