Financial Controller

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Financial Controller to oversee our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role requires a strong proficiency in spreadsheets, financial analysis, and maintaining adherence to financial regulations. The Financial Controller will play a key role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls to support the company's growth and stability.

Duties

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Utilize spreadsheets extensively for data management, financial modeling, and reporting purposes.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements across the organization.
• Oversee budgeting processes, monitor actual performance against budgets, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity of financial data.
• Collaborate with auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation to facilitate smooth audit processes.
• Support senior management with financial planning, forecasting, and risk management initiatives.
• Keep abreast of changes in financial legislation and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

Skills

• Proven experience in financial management or controlling roles with strong expertise in spreadsheets and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information accurately.
• Solid understanding of financial compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills for spreadsheets and financial modeling.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
