Financial Controller

Our client is a well-established company in the Hospitality & Services sector, currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the overall Finance & Accounting function and provide strong financial leadership to the business. This role will work closely with the General Manager and management team as a strategic business partner, providing financial insights, ensuring strong financial controls, and supporting business decision-making

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall Finance & Accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations and reporting.
• Lead the finance team and provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, taxation, and financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Monitor business performance and provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to the General Manager and management team.
• Act as a trusted business partner to the GM and management team, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
• Establish and strengthen financial controls, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and minimize financial risks.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, cost efficiency, profitability, and overall business operations.
• Support management with financial planning, investment analysis, and other business initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with solid experience in a leadership or Financial Controller/Finance Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of full-spectrum Finance & Accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
• Experience managing and developing a finance team with strong leadership and people management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into practical business recommendations.
• Proven experience working closely with senior management or as a finance business partner.
• Professional English communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in hospitality, leisure, services, or other customer-oriented businesses will be an advantage.
