Financial Controller

DSY has been retained to source and appoint a Financial Controller for an established resources services business headquartered in South Perth. Reporting to the newly promoted CFO this opportunity will have you lead the organisations day-to-day financial control and business systems administration, ensuring robust financial processes, accurate records and effective, secure and reliable systems that support the broader business.
 
About the company
Resources services Group with operations in Western Australia and inter-state.
Revenue circa $50m, the business has experienced a 50% growth in revenue over the past 18 months.

About the role You will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, improve systems and provide accurate, timely financial information to the CFO and broader management team. Currently operating on basic SAP, future systems improvements is an immediate priority in this role. Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial leadership and financial control
• Staff management, coaching and development
• Accounts payable and receivable leadership
• Systems strategy execution and governance
• Technology, cyber and vendor management
• Systems administration and user support
• Finance systems administration
• HR records and administration

About you You will be a tech/systems-savvy Senior Accountant or experienced Financial Controller who is comfortable getting into the detail. Ideally, you will bring:

• Experience in managing financial systems including a previous implementation or upgrade
• CA or CPA qualified with 3+ years post-qualified experience
• Background in small and medium-sized enterprise (SME)
• Previous staff management experience is a must
• Strong financial controls and process improvement experience
• Hands-on cash flow and month-end capability
• Confidence working with senior and operational stakeholders
• Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment

• $160,000 to $180,000 + superannuation + bonus (c. 10%)
