The role

This is a builder's role, not a caretaker's. Today our books are handled by an outsourced firm. You will transition the close in-house, inherit and enhance the existing systems and controls, and own the numbers end to end. You'll manage a Staff Accountant and an AR Specialist, partner closely with our CEO on FP&A and cash strategy, and be the person our lenders rely on for accurate, timely, decision-ready financials. What you'll own

• Full ownership of the monthly and annual close, general ledger, and financial statements
• Compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
• Migration of the close from our outsourced firm in-house, including 1–2 parallel close cycles to ensure nothing slips
• Accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing operations oversight, including bulk remittance payouts and operator invoicing
• Cash management, banking relationships, and treasury activities
• Debt covenant compliance and reporting, including EBITDA and cash covenants under our senior credit facility
• Payroll oversight (lightweight; administered through our PEO)
• Coordination with outsourced tax and audit partners, including clean, audit-ready close packages and year-end tax hand-offs
• Accounting systems and controls: QuickBooks Online, AP automation (Ramp), and remittance payments infrastructure (custom-built)
• Direct management and development of small accounting team
• KPI dashboards and management reporting that provide insight into business performance
• Board and lender financial reporting alongside the CEO
• Long-range financial planning, scenario analysis, and cash flow forecasting in partnership with the CEO

What you bring

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of a full-cycle close
• CPA required; public accounting foundation a plus
• Hands-on experience closing the books in QuickBooks Online (or a comparable system) at a company of similar scale
• Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition under ASC 606, ideally for combined hardware and subscription/SaaS offerings
• Experience with debt covenant compliance and reporting
• Strong controls mindset paired with the pragmatism to build lean at a small, fast-moving company
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Valid U.S. work authorization

Pay: $145,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
